Toddler Tip of the Day
May 5, 2008Upon seeing our toddler rolling a yellow ball on her cheek my husband says: “Baby girl, don’t rub balls on your face.”
One of many “tips” he’s been giving her.
A tip he gave me: “Don’t teach our daughter to whore herself out and give kisses for candy.” This was in response to me telling her I’d give her candy for a kiss cause she was being stubborn.
I gotta post more of these so I remember them as there have been tons more.

Great Strides Walk 2008!

This year the company I work for will be doing a 6 month Jeans for Genes campaign for the CF Foundation and they will most likely have a company team that will be paired with Team Jellybean since I was the one who suggested CFF for our fund-raising here.
And since we have more advance notice this year, maybe we’ll be able to hit our goal more easily. Don’t forget to sign up and pass it on to family and friends!

This took me a couple hours to make based off a pattern I found online. I only know how long it took cause I watched American Idol and House in the time it took me to make it.

Tattoo
May 3, 2007Wen-M on deviantart.com is going to draw Brian up a tattoo design similar in style to these. Brian’s request is for a sun with “Miranda” written in the rays.
Brian: I figure that a sun works well since she (Miranda) is the center of my universe.
Me: Well, what does that make me?
Brian: You can be the moon since I’m the center of yours.

Bananas – an herb??

Is a banana a fruit or a herb?
Both. A banana (the yellow thing you peel and eat) is undoubtedly a fruit (containing the seeds of the plant: see answer regarding tomatoes), though since commercially grown banana plants are sterile, the seeds are reduced to little specks. However, the banana plant, though it is called a ‘banana-tree’ in popular usage, is technically regarded as a herbaceous plant (or ‘herb’), not a tree, because the stem does not contain true woody tissue.
